Colorado Jamboree Sunday

This year, we were never quite sure the day would come where we could hold our Colorado Jamboree. But Sunday came. And we were there. And we are so grateful to all those who made it happen.

First we would like to thank Dave King and Triple Crown Sports for making this possible. Dave, Krista, and Stephanie are three of the most wonderful people in the game, and they do great things for the sport. We’d also like to mention Paul Smith, who runs the complex. He and his staff do an unbelievable job maintaining those fields. They look at good as new each and every year we are there. Aurora Sports Complex has been one of our favorite venues since 2013, our first year in Colorado.

Given everything we have been thru over the past 16 months, we were really unsure how these events would play out. Sunday went off without a hitch, and it seriously felt like we had never skipped a beat. It was strange to think we had not been there for two years. However, the players did a great job in the event. The coaches turned out for the event. So we were exceedingly happy with it all.

While we all know the ball flies in Colorado and hitting workouts are fun and impressive for sure. But we want to take time here to mention the pitching. We had 31 pitchers and they showed very well. With many noteworthy performances. However, I can only mention a few here. On Sunday, 2022s Hailey McLean, Holly Beaman, and Grace Haegele were all impressive with their spins and their location. 2023s Bristin Bordeau, Desirae Spearman, and Rachel Traxler were equally as good in their group. Spearman is an athlete who has improved significantly in the last 18 months. And in the young group in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes all showed promise for the years ahead.

We would like to thank all the players and parents for hanging with us over the course of a tough year. It was great to see so many friends once again. We will look forward to seeing all of you in the months and years ahead.
