March 06, 2012
Well, it is time to rev it up again in preparation for our 2012 events that are looming in the very near future. First up will be the Zoom Into June Jamboree which will be held in Hemet, CA on June 8th. We have had a slew of inquiries about when invitations will be sent out. Our initial batch of about 40 invitations will be sent out next week. The balance of the invitations will be sent out periodically throughout the Spring until the camp roster of 110 players is completed sometime in May. Please feel free to contact us if you have an interest in attending the Hemet Jamboree.
In response to the flood of inquiries involving this event, we will be holding two, possibly three, try-out camps this Spring – one in NorCal, one in SoCal, and one in Arizona. These camps will allow us to see many players who normally we might not get to see. We will use the results of these camps to find additional players for all of our events throughout the year. The tryout will consist of an offensive/defensive workout and an ODM (OnDeck Measurement) test that measures athleticism, bat speed, and overhand throw velocity. The last 20 invitations for Hemet will be held until our tryout camps are completed allowing all those who participate in the tryout to have a legitimate chance to make it into the prestigious Hemet event. And even if a player is not chosen for Hemet, she will be in the pool of players we will seriously look at for our Chicago, NorCal, and Phoenix Jamborees.
We are looking forward to an active Spring as we continue to evaluate young players in the 2016 and 2017 classes, and as we get to as many High School games as possible. If we don’t know one another, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us as soon as you can. We would love to hear from you, and we will look forward to seeing you soon. Be on the lookout for those tryout dates, and continue to work hard, to have fun, and to make strides towards fulfilling your dreams.
