The OnDeck Softball NorCal Jamboree has taken the place of the NorCal Elite Camp that originally began in Stockton, CA in conjunction with the Runnin’ Rebel Softball program.  This past year, the original camp that featured 72 players was replaced with the Jamboree model that features 110 players and allows the participants to work-out and play against some of the top young players on the West Coast.  This Jamboree model has proven to be very successful with the college coaches and will remain the format for the future.

110 players from up and down the West Coast are invited to participate in the NorCal Jamboree.  The Jamboree consists of an extensive workout and modified games that allow the college coach to successfully evaluate each and every player.  The event is open to players just beginning their 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grades years in high school.  Any interested athletes can contact Derek & Joann Allister, the owners of OnDeck Softball.

In 2011, 30+ college coaches came to watch the 100 players workout and showcase their skills.  Schools representing the Pac-10, the WAC, the SEC, the Big 10, the Big West and several other major Division 1 conferences attended this Regional event.  Several players who performed well in Stockton were subsequently invited to the National Elite Futures Camp the next month.  Regional Jamborees serve as springboards to Division 1 scholarship opportunities and National Camp invitations.  If you have the chance to join the Allisters for a Regional Jamboree event, don’t hesitate; it could be the key to finding the school of your dreams.
