The first tryout of 2019 is a wrap, and it was an exciting way to begin the new year.  Big League Edge in Kent, WA is a great facility that is about as well fitted for workouts as any we have seen. We can’t thank the owners and the Washington Ladyhawk organization enough for allowing us to utilize this space.

The day was great. We had a soldout tryout with players from across the Northwest and Canada. Interestingly, the age was a bit older than tryouts over the past several years. Of course, we had younger kids, as we always have. But in addition to them, we had a solid contingent of 2020s and a great number of 2021s. That was very refreshing to us, and I believe is a reflection of the new recruiting legislation passed a year ago. We certainly hope this trend continues.

As for the tryout itself, we had excellent play from a number of players. Just to mention a few Madelyn Hull is a sophisticated defender at 3B, is a solid hitter and solid overall skill set. Tia Milloy just oozes with potential and as a young player she has a chance to be a superb player. Brooke Blocker is a strong athlete who will be a power hitter and a smooth defender.

Listed below are the players selected and the invitations they are guaranteed. It is important to know that all players were considered for all Jamborees. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.

Email ODM at kj@odmtesting.com if you have any questions about the ODM Numbers.

Each player's ODM numbers are also posted on their profiles.
