We want to thank Kevin Shelton and the Texas Glory organization for all their help with this tryout. It was our first time at The Halo and it really work well for the tryout. The weather coroporated and allowed us to do the outfield outside and run the 10-20-40 yard dash and move inside to do the rest of the tryout.
The Dallas area continues to produce quality softball players and this group was no different. We had a wide age range and are excited to see all the potential in the younger group. While they are not quite ready to come to a Jamboree, they will be in the next year or so as they continue to develop their skill set and mature.
We have to start by mentioning Tori Edwards (2023 1B/3B) and very well rounded player that has the skill set defesively, a solid hitter, is strong and has the athleticsm needed for the next level. Natalie Pacheco (2023 3B/C) a solid hitter with good power potential and is strong defensively. Pitchers Jenna Milan (2021) and Lindsay O'Dell (2022) had a really good workout. Jenna has great command and spins, paired with good velocity and a nice change-up. Lindsay really brings it and as her spins refine that break will only improve.
We want to thank all the players and parents who joined us for this tryout, it was a lot of fun. If you were not selected, please don't be discouraged. We want to see you play again and we will be out scouting games during the spring and summer. Please keep us updated on your tournament and game schedules and email them to info@ondecksoftball.net

The Colorado Jamboree invitations will be sent March 2nd. All invitations are sent via email to the address provided in registration, unless otherwise requested. Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers.
