We had a great time with the 2015 Texas Jamboree. While there were concerns about the weather, the predictions were correct, and Friday was actually a great day with nary a raindrop in sight. We want to thank Connie May and the ScrapYard staff for all their help with the event. As we have mentioned before, that facility is fabulous, and it’s always nice to know some precipitation won’t hinder the event.
As for the Jamboree itself, we had some great performances. 2016 P Makenzie Carpenter showed the growth she has experienced in the last year. This senior should be on the radar of any school in the country still looking for a 2016 pitcher. 2017 pitchers, Morgan Hanz and Brianna Robinson, also looked good. Both players will find their future schools in the very near future. 2018 Middle Infielder Madison Schaefer also displayed her range of skills defensively and an ever-improving bat. Future collegiate stars in the 2019 class also showed the coaches in attendance their impressive skill sets and athleticism. Emily Hott, Caraline Woodall, Saleen Donohoe, Kendall Jennings, and Anna Jones all are stars in the making right now. And finally, 2020 athlete Olivia Guindon showed why she will be recruited by almost everyone in the next several years. A number of others also seriously impressed us with their potential, and we will be anxious to follow their progress in the years ahead.
Thank you to all the players, parents, and college coaches who attended the 2nd Texas Jamboree in Houston. We will look forward to seeing everyone on the road ahead.
