Going to Arizona in November for this Jamboree is always a treat for all of us. The venue is great and sets up well, the talent is always high level and it's a good last stop of the year. The 2016 Arizona Jamboree lived up to all those things and wrapped up a tremendous year for OnDeck Softball.
We had a number of excellent performances on the day. An emerging program out of Utah – the Utah Firecrackers – had a number of players who played very well. Fred Rollin’s group is an excellent team that went on to play very well over the course of the weekend. We were particularly impressed with 2018 infielders Payton Hammond and April Visser. Both players are making a name for themselves in the recruiting world with their solid array of skills. Both are excellent defenders and hitters. 2019 Cira Bartolotti and 2020 Daisy Taloa were good as well. Bartolotti is an intriguing pitching prospect and locates pitches very well. She is very poised in the circle and competes hard! Taloa was fantastic defensively and has great potential as a hitter. She is going to be a solid 5-tool player who will be able to play at the highest levels as she matures and develops her game.
In addition, 2020 SS/C Blaise Biringer from the AZ Suncats cemented her status as one of the best players in the state of Arizona. Biringer oozes with potential, and every school in the country should make sure they watch her. 2020 SS/UT Kaitlynn Humphreys blossomed on the day, and we will be anxious to see her develop in the year ahead. Humphreys had the best Allister Index in the camp and is starting to realize her vast potential. She will only be better in the years ahead as she refines her skills and gets stronger.
