We would like to thank all they players and parents for attending the SoCal Report Camp. This camp capped off three great days that we were unsure would happen just over a month ago. We also want to thank everyone for adhering to guidelines and socially distancing. It is an important factor in being able to continue to hold camps during COVID.
It was a fun day that started strong with our 2021-22 defensive group. We saw some really good plays both in the infield and outfield. In a time where players are seeing much fungo or quick defensive plays, they really did a good job. 2022 3B/1B Isabella Fuentes was solid with the glove, has a huge arm and show good power at the plate. Another 2022 3B/1B Hannah Allen just keeps getting better and refining her skill set. 2022 Ava Chavarria is a very athletic catcher with a 1.79 pop time and big time arm. In the 2023-2025 group we had solid group hitters, led by 2023 Sharyn Duncan, 2024s Mia Sanchez, Jillian Sanchez, Tiare Ho-Ching and 2025 Kai Minor.
BLD- Chino Hills was a great spot to host this camp. They have a streaming service, PlaySight, built in with quality cameras. It was really great to be back out at the fields. This summer and fall is not what was expected, but we have high hopes for the future. It was clear these players put in a lot of work and continued to work on their skill set.
Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively. These numbers have also been posted to your profile.
Email ODM at kj@odmtesting.com if you have any questions about the ODM Numbers.
