Sunday Colorado is a day we all look forward to each and every year. It marks the beginning of two days of great softball in a beautiful venue featuring some of the best players nationally. It also signals the beginning of a solid week of great Colorado tournaments. Right off the bat, I want to thank Dave and Keri King, along with Krista, Stephanie and all our other friends at Triple Crown, for their support in this endeavor. I can clearly remember the day Dave asked if we would be willing to bring one of our events to Colorado. That soon expanded into two days, and the rest is history.
Some of the game’s greatest players have played in our Colorado Jamboree over the years. In 2013, Florida State All American superstar, Sydney Sherrill, made her debut on the national recruiting stage. And she was joined by future Oregon and Texas All American Shannon Rhodes. Many other great players have followed Sydney and Shannon since then and this year was no different.
2026 SS Analise DeWitt, 2026 SS Lucy Thompson, 2027 C/3B Ryleigh Hall, 2028 middle infielders Nevaeh Wilson and Olivia McDermott are just a five of the large number of high level players from the 2024 Sunday Jamboree. We look forward to seeing all the players that attended in the near future.
Once again thanks to Triple Crown for helping us make OnDeck Colorado a truly special event. A hearty thanks goes out to all of them and their families for making this year’s Sunday Colorado another great day. We will look forward to seeing many of you at Nationals and wish you all luck.
Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
