After having to postpone a Sunday tryout in January and reschedule, the new weekend turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous SoCal day! We evaluated right around 85 players in two Sessions, and were very impressed with the talent level. A significantly higher percentage of players will be moved along, as compared to a typical tryout. And that was exciting for us.
Some performances that stood out over the course of the day included 2019 Miranda Stoddard, 2018 Miranda Padilla, 2017 Emma Souter, 2020 Lauren Marcotte, and 2018 Sarah Urrea. All five players combined solid ODM numbers with a high level skill set, and we think they all are ready for a very big stage at June Jamboree.
As with all our Tryout, we want to remind both parents and players that the recruiting process is a journey that unfolds differently for every player. Be patient and let the process work and a good decision will ultimately be made. There are several players not listed here will probably be invited to an event as we begin the process of balancing grad years and positions. For those players we will be in touch as spots become available.
Listed below are the players and the Jamborees they will definitely be invited to, some maybe invited to more than one. The June Jamboree and Colorado Jamboree invitations will be sent early March. UPDATED: NorCal Jamboree and Arizona Jamboree invitations will be sent by mid June, we are waiting on an update to our website prior to issuing new invitations. All invitations are sent via email to the address provided in registration, unless otherwise requested. Please add info@ondecksoftball.net to your contacts to ensure you get the invitation.

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
