Despite the rain that was looming, Saturday’s session of the Orange County Tryout turned out to be a great day. We did get a light mist going for a few hours, but all in all it was good to be in SoCal and watch some really nice players – some of whom will be invited to a Jamboree and possibly an Elite Camp. There were several performances that really caught our eye – 2019 Gianna Alvidrez, 2018 Nicole Licea, and 2017 Brooke Franson.  All three have a chance to play at a high level in college if they keep improving their game, conditioning, and athleticism.  Also, 2019s Alexis Berg, Miranda Golardo, Sarah Taylor, and 2020 Morgan Smith had impressive outings.

As with all our Tryout, we want to remind both parents and players that the recruiting process is a journey that unfolds differently for every player. Be patient and let the process work and a good decision will ultimately be made.

Listed below are the players and the Jamborees they will be invited to, the June Jamboree and Colorado Jamboree invitations will be sent early March. UPDATED: NorCal Jamboree and Arizona Jamboree invitations will be sent by mid June, we are waiting on an update to our website prior to issuing new invitations. All invitations are sent via email to the address provided in registration, unless otherwise requested. Please add info@ondecksoftball.net to your contacts to ensure you get the invitation.

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s real potential. For a player to reach her true potential, she has to work at developing her athletic potential, but constantly work on developing and refining her softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
