We want to start by thanking all the players and parents for attending and working with us on the various changes. We also have to thank Bill Judge and the folks at ESP for getting us inside and avoiding the rain. It is rare to find a facility that can accomodate us on short notice and have the room to do what we need to do.
All the players were great, took the defenisve session in stride and really did their best. Those things do not go unnoticed during a tryout and we are thankful for the energy the players brought. We have to start by mentioning Cara Cruthers, a catcher with an absolute cannon, quick release and a good bat. Alysandra Calixto is a smooth defender that looks natural at 2B. Marytherese Nevin is a quick and athletic player. Ellie Alvarez has good power offensively and matches that with a solid glove.
There were quite a few players that are very close and we look foward to seeing them play this summer. If you were not selected, please don't be discouraged. We want to see you play again. We will be out scouting games during this summer. Please keep us updated on your tournament and game schedules; email them to info@ondecksoftball.net.
Listed below are the players selected and guaranteed an invitation to a Jamboree. It is important to know that all players were considered for Jamborees. Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers.
Email ODM at kj@odmtesting.com if you have any questions about the ODM Numbers.
