It was great day of softball at our Irvine Tryout. Not only did it turn out to be a great two days of weather, but we also had two great days of watching some solid softball from the SoCal area.
Right out of the gate, we have to mention both 2022 Avery Weisbrook and 2021 Allison Ha. Both of these young players have a chance to be recruited at the highest level if they keep working on their games over the next several years. Allison, is a fast, athletic player, and plays a solid 2B. She combines the skill sets and the athleticism that all college coaches are looking for. Likewise, Avery is going to be an exceptional player if she just keeps working on her athleticism and polishing her skills. A gifted defender with an ultra-quick release and an ability to throw from different arm angles. Many other players did a fantastic job in this tryout. Without question, this tryout produced one of the largest percentages of players who will move on to a Jamboree than any other tryout in recent memory.

As with all our Tryouts, we want to remind both parents and players that the recruiting process is a journey that unfolds differently for every player. Be patient and let the process work and a good decision will ultimately be made. If you weren't selected, don't be discouraged, we would like to see how you progress and improve. Listed below are the players selected and the invitations they are guaranteed. The Huntington Beach Jamboree, Hemet Jamboree and Colorado Jamboree invitations will go out February 21st and the Arizona Jamboree invitations will go out July 17th. All invitations are sent via email to the address provided in registration, unless otherwise requested. Please add info@ondecksoftball.net to your contacts to ensure you get the invitation.

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
