While we generally hold our Arizona Tryout in the Fall, we decided to offer this opportunity in an attempt to identify players for we the Huntington Beach Jamboree, Rosetta Canyon Jamboree and the Colorado Jamboree. We want to thank Arizona Hotshots’ Steve Captain and former ASU standout Dale Ryndak for working this tryout. We are very appreciative of Steve and Dale’s contribution to what turned out to be a beautiful Spring day.
We had a number of outstanding performances over the course of the day. The most eye-opening were certainly 2021 MI Brooklyn Ulrich’s combination of an excellent defensive and offensive skill sets. 2023 MI Reese Lee is an unquestionable emerging talent that will make her a coveted recruit in the next few years. In addition, 2021 hitter Mariah Martinez put on a show both in front toss and live BP. Mariah crushed one pitch after another. And finally, 2023 1B Analise Montiel showed very good skills at 1B and the ability to both hit for a solid average and hit with some power.
Selected players will be sent invitations on Thursday, March 14th. If you weren’t selected don’t be discouraged we want to keep up with you, email us your travel ball schedule.

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.

Player evaluations are available for purchase for two weeks after the Tryout ($20/player). Evaluations take about a week to be written and formatted from the date of purchase. All evaluations will be emailed to the address provided. If you are interested in a detailed tryout evaluation:
