After the Portland tryout, we headed north to Seattle for the 2nd tryout of the year. The Washington Ladyhawks and Big League Edge, were great hosts for the Tryout. Few facilities can match the Big League Edge, and of course the Washington Ladyhawks have established themselves as a well-respected national organization. We welcomed a sold out group. The day was great, and we had a number of high level performances.

Headlining the efforts was 2022 Canadian SS Ella Herrewig,  a smooth and accomplished defender and a good hitting prospect. A group of 7th graders showed very well. 2025s Ella Ferguson, Kaydence Hector, Ava Simms, Anna Braukus, and Ryan Breer did very well. Kaydence, Anna, and Ryan all catch, and are surprisingly accomplished for their age. Ella and Ava are two young pitching prospects with good mechanics, good athleticism, and real potential. We had several high level athletes whose skill sets were not quite as refined as they need to be. There were some very good offensive players whose defensive skill set need to catch up and we had several defenders who just need to shore up their hitting before they will be ready. And finally it is important to note that everyone – at all levels of travel ball – need to continue to improve themselves constantly. The game at the next level is played so fast and so well that it is important to continue to work on your skill set.

We want to thank all the players and parents who joined us for this tryout, it was a lot of fun. If you were not selected, please don't be discouraged. Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.

These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers.

Email ODM at if you have any questions about the ODM Numbers.
