We want to start off by thanking Zion Lutheran Church and Louie Villanueva for allowing us to hold our tryout on their field. This is our third year at Zion, and we just really enjoy the venue.
We were very pleased with the talent level and skill sets. Some young players were in attendance. There is no doubt in my mind that they are going to be very good. However, many are just going to need a year or two to grow and mature. The key will be if they can develop their athleticism and skills in those years. If that happens, we will be looking at some pretty high level recruits.
2026 1B/OF Aubrey McLaughlin pretty lefty swing that is certain to hold up against the rigors of high level pitching. Aubrey will hit for both power and a solid average at the next level if she continues to develop her offensive game.
2024 MI Alexis Lopez exhibited a solid game both offensively and defensively. Alexis can really swing the bat. Defensively she is highly skilled and with some strength training, she has a chance to be a high level recruit.
The Terrones sisters – 2023 OF Malayna and 2024 C Gabriella – were outstanding in their play. Both can swing the bat. Defensively, Malayna does a nice job in the OF. And Gabriella has a chance to be a really good catcher with continued development behind the plate.
The key for all these players is to continue to work and embrace the process. To play at the next level, you have to have the skills, athleticism, and the mind-set that allows you to succeed. All of these require work and preparation. But those who embrace the journey will often have greater success.

Listed below are the players selected and the invitations they are guaranteed. It is important to know that all players were considered for each Jamborees and Elite Camps. The Rosetta Canyon Jamboree and Colorado Jamboree invitations will be sent March 17th. The Fall Jamboree invitations will be sent July 8th. Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers.
