We are very thankful to Ronnie and Ryanne Holtorf for all their help with this Tryout. The entire Holtorf family is actively involved in Arizona softball, and it is always good to see them.
There are four deserve recognition for their play during the Tryout – 2021 Camryn Neal, an excellent middle infielder with a big arm and solid hitting mechanics. 2021 Paige White, a very accomplished catcher/3B and hitter whose versatility is a real strength. 2022 Krista Francia a young pitcher/SS who attended the 2017 Arizona Jamboree and has only gotten better over the last year. And finally, 2022 Skyla Mitchell is a wonderful hitter, the ball explodes off her bat. All four of these players are also very good athletes who will certainly catch the eye of any coaches.
As with all our Tryouts, we want to remind both parents and players that the recruiting process is a journey that unfolds differently for every player. Be patient and let the process work and a good decision will ultimately be made. If you weren't selected, don't be discouraged, we would like to see how you progress and improve. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.
