We had a great time with our first tryout of the 2025 year held in Gilbert, Arizona at Crossroads Park. The weather was beautiful with the temperature hovering around 73 degrees, and that was very welcomed not only by all of us who live here in the winter, but also the families from Colorado and Minnesota who flew in for the event.

We want to mention and thank former Grand Canyon University head coach Ann Pierson for coming out and helping us. Coach Pierson is one of the great people in this game and was an outstanding coach at GCU for many years. Plus, she hit maybe the best flyball fungo we have seen in awhile.

This will be OnDeck’s 25th year of scouting for college coaches, and it is our 20th year of running the recruiting events. The Phoenix Tryout was a great day and a great way to continue our 2025 campaign.

It is important to remember that in all tryouts we are looking for skill sets and athleticism. We do it this way to make sure an athlete can hold her own in the Jamboree or National Camp setting. If the skill sets of the player can hold up under the rigor of an OnDeck workout, and the prospect is athletic enough to match the athleticism of the other players, then we are good to go. It is our feeling that attending coaches will find that athlete intriguing enough to follow and evaluate on their own.

We want to thank all the players and parents who joined us for this tryout. Please keep us updated on your tournament and game schedules and email them to info@ondecksoftball.net

Listed below are the players selected and the invitations they are guaranteed. It is important to know that players were considered for all Jamborees. If you were not selected, keep working on your skill set and athleticism. Do not be discouraged. We want to do what is best for you and help you be successful on the softball field.

The Rosetta Canyon Jamboree and Colorado Jamboree invitations have been sent. All invitations are sent via email to the address provided in registration, unless otherwise requested. Please add info@ondecksoftball.net to your contacts to ensure you get the invitation.

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.

These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers. If you have questions about ODM numbers email KJ at kj@odmtesting.com
