Perfect weather greeted us, and an over-flow group of players participated. While most of the players came from Utah, there were several who traveled from Oregon, Canada, Nevada, Idaho, and Nebraska. It was great to see them all showcase their skill sets and athletic abilities.

We had several notable performances. But it must be noted that we had some exceptional sprint and shuttle times posted in ODM®. 2021 McKenna Thomas, 2021 Lexi Gonzalez, 2022 Alexis Shaver, 2022 Aaliyah Peterson, and 2023 Braxtyn Hunter all broke a 4.9 shuttle while 7 others broke 5.0. In the 40 yard sprint, 2022 Aaliyah Peterson and 2023 Madilyn Leatham had solid times.

When it came to overall performance, skills evaluation and ODM®, we had six players really stand out. 2022 Sydney Groves was a tremendous surprise, exhibiting a rare combination of size, high level athleticism, and well developed skill set for her age. 2022 Alexis Shaver is a multi-talented athlete whose speed, quickness, and explosiveness will surely catch the eye of many college coaches in the year ahead. 2023 Kylee Ruesch  is a smooth and efficient defender and hitter. 2023 Madilyn Leatham is an excellent hitting prospect with good speed and quickness in the outfield. Kylee and Madilyn are in a position to make a big splash on the recruiting scene very soon. 2024 Tessa Hogue and Tara Vanderwater all turned in solid performancess. They are excellent young prospects with good athleticism and skill sets. It will be fun to watch them develop in the years ahead.

We want to thank all the players and parents who traveled to SLCC this past weekend to join us for this endeavor. It was a lot of fun. If you were not selected, please don't be discouraged. We want to see you play again and we will be out scouting games during the spring and summer. Please keep us updated on your tournament and game schedules and email them to

Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential. They are also just a portion of the Tryout selection process, for more information read Your Tryout & ODM Numbers. Use these numbers as a tool and work at developing your athleticism, but constantly work on improving and refining your softball skill set – both offensively and defensively.

These numbers have also been posted to your profile. An Allister Index is not given with Tryout ODM numbers.

Email ODM at if you have any questions about the ODM Numbers.
